June Apples (the real ones)

It has been some years since I ate Horse. It was quite brisk and picked in mid July in North Georgia. A bit on the early side. I was going to pick Parks Pippin early and then dead ripe to see the flavor difference. It is supposed to be a passable eater like Horse is claimed to be. But otherwise a multipurpose star.

According to the Joyners @ Big Horse, this one ripens around the first of July in NC.
