i live in Indiana we we have rain right now and 4 days ago 7 inches in one night. the wetlands are filling up fast. we are having a standard spring and summer, but oddly i feel the sun more now than i can remember, but over all it’s been the standard rain fall and temperatures. Got to wonder about that bible verse in the Book of Revelations that sounds like climate change, if you want to read it it’s here, not everyone believes in this stuff so look at it as just an odd coincidence: Revelation 16:8 KJV: And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
that’s not good, hope you can save it. i got two paw paws one is about 12 feet high, the other is same age as the 12 footer but is only 8 feet high, and flowered for the fist time this year, the other did nothing so no fruit this year.
@robert can grafting be done now? i got two paw paws and if one dies the other will never produce fruit unless a new tree is planted and that takes years.
To late to graft this year. You can always graft another variety onto the one that is flowering for pollination.
thanks for the info, when do you graft?
Spring, when they first start leafing out.
i noticed my paw paws are the last trees to leaf out. so for me it’s mid spring when i see life stirring in the branches.
It has been high 90s to around 100 here every week. In the last 2 years we have had a record snow storm where CDOT said just bunker in your house and call out of work or you will be trapped. I got my first act of god pay this year from a snow storm. It is getting more extreme for sure. It just depends where you live to what extreme. Here in CO it is extreme snowfall and a hot drought. In places like TN it is rearing it’s head as more rainfall.
