I have a Beedle pear that does that. Could be long days; I’m at 65 degrees north.
Hello Vic
Any chance of sending me a stick of Krazulia? I live in Wisconsin.I would be glad to pay.
Zone 3. Planted 2 krazulya this year, they’re about 5’ tall now and doing ok so far. Also growing favoritka, one is doing great the other not so much.
In SE AB I grew the Julienne pear. MPO, if you cubed up a bartlet and a julienne no one could tell the difference. To me they are the same, except the julienne is 60% of the size. Just know it’s 7 years before they produce. Once they do, they produce well every year. Ripened for us mid Sept.
Been eyeing up So Sweet pears, small round supposed to ripen mid august.
Kicking myself for not planting a couple Julienne’s when first moved here…7 yrs ago.
Now.
If you dont mind @clarkinks can you look thru their new pear offerings and tell us if any are worth growing?
Stuttgarter Geishirtle, Hudar, and Krasnobokaya are worth a good look. There are several really good pears in their list, some of them are difficult to find.
Available now from St. Lawrence Nurseries:
Krazulya has fruited for me in Fairbanks, Alaska. Good eating.
