Opinions on oriental pears

I have Turnbull Giant and it is best when picked close to but not ripe.

mamuang, of course my opinion is absolutely subjective.
The opinion on flavors, textures and frangances is very personal.
What may be delicious to me may seem disgusting to my neighbor (I love oysters, and my wife throws up if she eats one hahaha).
But that is good and enriching, if we all had the same tastes, we would almost be like automata or communists which is worse hahahaha.
In my case, the Koreant Giant variety is late-ripening, and even leaving it on the tree until its optimal ripening point, it is not a variety that awakens my “basic instincts” hahahaha.
But this is the most normal precisely because it is absolutely subjective.

Hi poncirusguy.
I am looking forward to adding the Turmbull Giant to my collection.
I will buy it this winter in Slovakia.
Do you know what their parenterals are?

Turnbull giant came up in someone’s compost pile. They let it live and It produce unique pears. just a mutant seed from a store bought pear.

Is turnbull fairly Asian in texture and flavor? Mine grows fast only 3 or 4 years from a bareroot whip it’s about 11 ft tall!

My Turnbull giant weeps with almost every limb.
