Organza 5x7 fine mesh vs 6x7 large mesh

Temu runs deals for additional off on these and other fruit related stuff, pretty much daily.

I paid $4.64 for 100ct 6x9 bags.

Or birds. Here the birds peck holes and the bugs march in.

The weather and pest pressure in other areas could certainly be worse than here, no doubt. We’ve just had thunderstorms and ~2" of rain over the past few days though, and my bagged peaches are looking good so far. We’re at about 18" of rain for the year so far, around 50" in a typical year. I suppose we’ll see how they fare throughout the rest of the season, fingers crossed.

Hornets and yellowjackets may eat a lot of bad bugs but their bad temperament around humans means they are unwelcome here. Other insect predators can pick up the slack, I kill every one I can. Confirming what you stated, they don’t have hair-covered legs like bees so they provide very little in the way of pollination.

This year I’m leaning a little heavier in the direction of bait/poison. Cat food with a very dilute spray of Filrponil on it. Not seeing many YJ queens of late, hopefully it’s having an effect!

Knock on wood but so far birds have only gone after cherries here. We have a LOT of birds too, so another ā€œknock on woodā€!
