Interesting. I noticed that in the picture they were not shaded. I wonder if I could do a variation. Next year, I’ll be moving mine into 3 gal RB2s that easily unwrap. By the end of the year, they will be two growing seasons old. I planned to plant them, but maybe I’ll keep 1 or two, cut them down and add mix to cover them the following spring. If they put up multiple suckers, It should be very easy to unwrap the container and separate them. Sure seems like it would save a lot of work (if it works).

City, I recommend you just let it grow however it likes. Leave it alone. The taller the better, for now. It will branch when it’s ready.
