The top leaves on my Saturn peach are cupping. I’ve seen ants activity on it but found no aphids. What’s wrong?

I’ve seen that often when nothings wrong. I think you’ll decide the same.
Hmm… I don’t have to prepare for war, then! Thanks Fruitnut.

Finally a picture of my ‘Early Crawfords’. Whew they surely took long enough to ripen. Then the rains came and they filled with water. Still very tasty but very juicy. An excellent ‘peach taste’. Cannot wait to have more next year!
Yay!
2 med to large refrigerated yellow peaches, skinned and diced
2 cups refrigerated strawberries
2 Tbsp. superfine sugar
1 1/2 to 2 cups cold Moscato wine
Blend all ingredients together. Start with 1 1/2 cups Moscato wine and add enough of the rest of the 1/2 cup as needed to make the blend pourable. Enjoy!
MrsG-
They look perfect…those “Early” Crawford are sure early!
I wished you post up this recipe during the height of peach season. Grocery peaches just don’t cut it. I think they’re harvested way before their time so they don’t seem to ripe properly on the counter. Tried so many times with grocery peaches and disappointed every time. Either crunchy and tasteless or mealy and tasteless! No more grocery peaches!
I need to try your recipe next year with fresh peaches, either from u-pick or from my own back yard. My wife loves peach and moscato wine together!
Tom
I thought “Early” in its name should be an indicative of a feature/character/manner? Nonetheless, you have some beautiful peaches, Mrs. G!
Tom
Tonight should be fun! Thanks!
Thank you and they taste just as good as they look!
Those look great Mrsg! On my short scion want list now!
I still have Indian Free peach not ripe yet. Very nice to have such a late peach, but this year here, everything is late. I bet next year they ripen a touch earlier.
I should have, Tom! It is so so good, especially if you can get everything chilled way down, and delicious on a warm summer evening. You have to have a taste for Moscato dessert wine. I love it, but I know it may be too sweet for some folks. But with yellow peaches (ones that taste particularly “peachy” if you know what I mean). It is just delicious to me.
Patty,
Both my wife and I do not care for very harsh alcohol but we’ve developed major love for Moscato, especially the sparkly ones. Last month I cooked up a peach cobbler with some extra peaches to puree for sparkly peach wine drinks. It was awesomely tasty…
Talk about peaches, I have a peach+vodka macerating bottle in my basement bar since last month. It should be ready for a peach liquor toast around Thanksgiving this year.
Tom
Yum! I have used sparkling Moscato, and instead of adding it to the blender, I just gently fold it into the blended fruit. So, you can get a little bubble going. It is tres yummy! I love Moscato, too, but then, I’m of Italian extraction. I think it’s genetic
Yeah I can’t drink muscato. I too stick to my heritage and drink potato vodka! Infusing it with peaches works for me!
Rum and coke…
I tried a pear wine one time but did not find appealing. Wine gives me bad headaches so i try to stick to the clearest liquors possible (Vodka is best). I rarely drink beer which is probably a crime in this state.
I adore Moscato. And peaches. This is right up my alley! Thanks!
