Second year harvesting the Loganberries that came with my garden and they are much better this year using what I learned in these forums - I managed the canes a bit better and didn’t supplementary water this year. Sadly SWD seems to be in play already and while picking did get a mush berry filled with what I assume were SWD maggots. I’m not squeamish so I still ate the berries I picked that didn’t mush out but it did increase my nostalgia for berry picking in my childhood where this wasn’t even a concern.

Glad to hear the berries are improving! Now that mine are finally becoming established, I look forward to applying what I’ve learned here to see if I can level them up, too.
Re: the SWD: I’ve only just started getting fruit out of the plants I’ve put in my yard, so while I haven’t had many issues with SWD yet, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. I’ve definitely wondered what it would be like to garden in the time of my childhood before SWD, brown marmorated stinkbugs, cutworms, and the like made it out here…
