Recommendations for Hardy Citrus zone 7

A minimum low of 0f with 7 months of cold is much harder than 0f and 5 months of cold. The extra 2 months of cold will desiccate almost every citrus tree. When does the fruit ripen

Prague Citsuma is another good shout for hardiness, but unfortunately, I believe it ripens in December. Beings it is a chimera, it is likely the hardiest sweet citrus around, but the ripening time might keep you from ever getting a taste.

Other than Stan Mckenzie Farms, I know The Mulberries sells them as well; that is where I bought mine.

Sorry my friend. Didn’t see this post or I could have saved you some money. Yuzu is not even reliably hardy in zone 8a and 8B. For 7a and 7b, your best bet would be a Rusk or Morton Citrange, or a Dunstan Citrumelo. You will still have to give some protection but once the bark gets thicker, they will probably survive 95% of your winter nights…

Thank you all for the suggestions. I’ve decided that I won’t be experimenting with any more citrus here.
