Recommendations for New Rootstock - Crown Gall on Citation Rootstock - Peach Trees

Have you considered Galltrol and/or Gallex. Never used them before, but may be something to look into. I’m sure they are pricey.

Citation doesn’t do well here, so I don’t use it. What’s wrong with peach seedling rootstocks like Lovell, Halford, Guardian, ect. in NM?

There was a member here who raised peaches commercially in AZ, and he had trouble making Citation work on peaches.

Propagating Citation

Here in Phoenix Citation is a dud on peaches. They massively lack vigor, im lucky to get 2-4" of growth a year when other peaches see 12-36" of growth a season. Many here have issues with Citation’s lack of drought tollerance on Apricots and Plums…I dont personally have any problems on that due to the way we deep irrigate. Its a excellent root for me on Plums and Apricots, just not Peaches.
