Rootstocks - the key to growing fruit successfully

This thread has not been updated in many years but apples at my location do best on mm111 long term and pears seem best on callery. They are not the best out of the gate but best overall. The years have taught me to be more pragmatic than what I once was. If you do what works never chasing dreams it becomes boring but I would encourage you all to consider eating fruit in your search for betterment.

Have two cherry trees that shoot up a ridiculous amount of root suckers. I have a lot of cherry trees and only these two do it. Anyone familiar with what rootstock those two could be on?

@Robert

Yes they all do it on their own roots. Montmorency on its own roots have hundreds of suckers.

It’s not a standard rootstock. Some type of semi dwarf.
