Search for John Hershey Downingtown and read the articles. I don’t recall details, but there is some info on the net about them. Are you sure it is a hickory and not a hican?

Do you think that Keystone would fare well in a more Northern climate, such as Zone 4b/5a?
I’ve heard it is an earlier ripening cultivar of shellbark, but also would be concerned that the nut wouldn’t fill in time.
In the northern range I think your best bet is to plant the fastest growing cold hardy carya species you can now and top work them in a few years. Short season/cold hardy pecans, and graft them with whichever hican, pecan, hickory you want.
