I’d have to go through and check but off the top of my head I know that my Tomboy, Pinker, Pink Lemonade, Jan Russet, and Musketeer grafts are matching vigor with the trees they are on. The seedlings are harder to judge since some sprouted earlier so have a head start compared to others in the same batch.
I have 2 frankentrees in my backyard. 3 grafts (grafted last year) suffered from fireblights: pink lady, pink lady and pinker lady. All other grafts show no signs of damage, so I’d put pinker lady in the “susceptible to fireblight just like its parent” category. I’d have to check which other skillcult varieties are on those 2 trees, those would be potentially “fireblight resistant” or at least less susceptible.

In the near future I’d like to take stock of which seedlings I have and the state of each but that is a tall order. Having a single “office plant” is easy to evaluate even though the disease pressures are not the same. This one shot up over the past few days but has struggled with mildew in spite of more than adequate airflow. Without intervention it would probably have been lost. It no longer has the pale grey white tone to the leaves that made it stand out against similar crosses but the lighter green with the dark red veining is still a nice contrast.
I had to bite the bullet at the weekend and just go strip off the PM leaves from the seedlings and trash the most runted out ones afflicted with it. Wasn’t as bad as I thought but we will see who actually survives the partial defoliation.
