Some Pictures from the Fruit Propagation Fair in Canby last weekend

puggylover, you’ll have to come to one of the events. There is also the Arboretum in Oregon City at Clackamas Community college.

Here are some pictures from the All About Fruit show:

Oh, man… those pawpaws… wow.

Fantastic murky. Post some more photos if ya’ got 'em. What do Medlars taste like? I’ve never had one or even the opportunity to try one.

The medlar weren’t really available for tasting. They need to blett first. They are typically described as looking and tasting like spiced apples sauce. The bletting process turns the edible portion inside to mush.

Not sure where in MD you are, but the Backyard Fruit Growers run out of Lancaster, PA a lot.

Glad the festival went well. I was looking forward to coming down but had to cancel last minute. I echo the recommendation of this festival. It really is like Disneyland for fruit lovers.

I sent the Temperate Orchard Conservancy a donation. I hope they are successful in raising the much needed funds.

Wow. Never heard of these events, but now that I know, I can tell you that I will definitely make the trip one of these years. Thanks for posting!

I would call it a very small amount of spiced apple sauce  You don’t get very much goo from each fruit. My medlars got too much fireblight so I had to get rid of them.

While going to the HOS’s “All About Fruit Show” in the Fall, there is usually One Green World’s Harvest Festival, which coincides on a weekend. There are a lot of fruit goodies to try there also and the locations are about 10-15 miles apart. Brady

I want to second Brady’s comment. It’s a double whammy fruitstravaganza!

John, Brady, I believe One Green World has moved their tasting to literally occur at the All About Fruit Show starting last year.
