Spray Schedule- Synthetic Materials

So, do you do summer pruning for apples and pears? Even if you don’t, I take from your answer that it is probably not very risky FB wise.

Good question that I have done some thinking about at the few orchards where FB has been a problem. If a pear has suffered FB I’m not likely to ever summer prune it, except to remove small strikes leaving an uncankered stub until winter, although I figure if there wasn’t any rain in the forecast it might be alright. It might even reduce the risk by reducing the overall vigor of a tree- but who knows?

Mysterious disease.

If i haven’t had trouble with mites and scale on my apples, but have regular CAR issues, would you recommend just myclobutinol in water, after the shoots start to grow? And then two more applications, one shortly after petal fall, and another two weeks later?

Here I can control car with two apps starting a petal fall and finishing 10-14 days later. Same with scab, most sites most seasons, all varieties.
