Strawberry variety recommendation?

Honeoye has tendency to taste like Strawberry kool-aid. Grew it for many years and it’s very productive. It’s a bullet proof Strawberry for Kansas but the taste is not great.

Jewel - is a good Strawberry all the way around

Flavorfest- have no experience with this one

Think in terms of quantity versus quality. Earliglow is small and you won’t get as much production but you will get true Strawberry flavor similar to what wild strawberries have. Everything I taste I compare with wild Strawberry as their taste is the best.

Best Strawberry Varieties?

Hello all, I’ve been sticking around GW for the most part. I do keep checking back here to see what’s going on. My gardening interests are varied and fruit is a small portion of what I do, although I find fruit interesting, I also think of it as more work intensive than other things I do. At least that’s my perception. I basically have blueberry bushes and strawberry plants and that is the extent of fruit in my garden. I am planning on adding more strawberry plants in the spring and wonder…
