Sycamore fig (and other unusual/historical fruit)

@sharq I actually have been wanting to collect those two when I move into a house with more window space. I currently have F. Benjamina. It’s pretty easy to keep small, and I’ve had it a long time. Actually from a cutting from an office where it was part of the decor.
Ficus is really an interesting genus.

@a_Vivaldi i hope they work out for you! That’s a very interesting tree. You’ll have to post an update if yours end up fruiting! (I suppose that’s what you’d say about a nut tree)

Nashville TN is zone 7b.

Araucaria tend to be hardier than you’d expect. Parana pine grows in like zone 9-11 in Brazil, but handles at least a zone colder. Bunya Bunya is from tropical Australia, and yet it’s hardy to zone 9, maybe zone 8b according to someone on Etsy. Norfolk Island Pine isn’t particularly hardy, only to zone 10 i think, but it’s from a place that’s like zone 13 and has a record cold in the lower 40s…
