The trees they came a one by one

I’ll take a daytime photo tomorrow of the Katy for clarity. I’ll likely remove the lowest branches late winter. It didn’t grow very much this first year as it seeped a lot of sap in early summer and I thought it was a goner. It looks fine now, just didn’t put any more growth. All the scaffolds are pretty small caliper at the moment.

Thanks for the replies.

I’m confident both the FG and CnC will bloom and set a few fruit for the first time next year, so I will get to see how they fruit (assuming no freak late freeze like this past spring).

My diminutive Katy Apricot.

Lowest branch reaching towards the ground definitely gets pruned off.

I don’t expect any possibility of blooms and fruit next year so I will likely prune it back quite a bit late winter, though I’ve seen a fair amount of talk about waiting until May or so to prune. Growing season starts here early March.

My yard layout and usage has this tree pinned against a fence so to speak. I’m happy with keeping it small.
