Thinning fruit

@thecityman,
I grabbed one peachlet I thinned yesterday. It was only a penny size and a little mark on the outside.

The damage already quite a bit inside.

Perfect example of why you are collecting and properly disposing of your thinned fruit. Fortunately I’ve usually got my bugs under control by spraying before I thin, so hopefully I don’t have many worms crawling out of my discarded fruit and into the ground to continue their life cycle. I also concede that it is just good orchard practice to remove any and all discarded fruit. But my little discards don’t seem to be a problem and it would be a huge amount of extra work to keep and dispose of my thinned fruit with all the trees I have, so I’ll probably keep letting them fall to the ground while thinning! haha. But I know your way is safer and better.
