I think I’m going to take that branch off on the right. There’s a nice bud coming off the main trunk just above. I just didn’t know if it was okay to prune it off and lose all those leaves
Here’s an update on my flavor king. Do I have a second leader form that should be removed? Any way to straighten this tree? Is it only cosmetic? Also an update photo on my flavor grenade.

If you want a straight tree, just tie it to a stake- light electrical conduit is available at Home Depot and the like and works fine but anything straight, strong and rigid that you can drive into the ground does the trick. Just tape the trunk to the stake as needed.
Whenever you make a heading cut you create potential co-dominants just below the point of the cut. Choose your leader, and if you need any other shoots nearby to create scaffolds, subdue them by pinching them back several times during the growing season and spread them to more horizontal position at some point.
The same approach can be used when trying to create more secondary branching from a scaffold branch.
