Training high density trellised pluot and apricot, my plan

That sounds like a plan but without the trellis. You can manage the trees with regular pruning. It will get difficult if it’s a vigorous site. I have the advantage of controlled irrigation.

Yup, I have no control over limiting my water. My apples, peaches, nectarines, and cherries have grown very well in my soil. Pears not so much and I do not understand why. I will probably stick to two trees one with plums and the other with pluots with multiple grafts.

I have planted Pluot/Plum varieties (Flavor Grenade, King, Hollywood) spacing them 5 feet. These like to grow straight up and its possible to manage them with have two or three scaffolds cutback 2/3rd every year. Pictured is year old Flavor Grenade.
