yes you can cut the male flowers off, I have not noticed a difference in fruit size between clipped or not. I keep the flowers on because bees love them and they produce a lot of resin for them to make propolis. If you don’t have rats you can also suck the nectar from the flowers. You can also stir fry them with some preparation. It’s up to you.
