Twisted tree mulberry (Fedco)--anyone tried it?

I grafted my mulberries onto wild what must be alba I dug up, and those of overwintered in the garage this year in deeppots. It’s so warm outside of that inside the garage a Goosberry in the same pots is already leafing out so I shouldn’t have any issues with cold but I may continue to just over winter first year grafts on things like persimmon and Pawpaw in the garage when possible

Graft compatibility for M.rubra seems to be somewhat variable, in my limited experience.
I’ve got a couple of 10+ yr old grafts of a nice local M.rubra on M.alba understock.
But - I had a really good M.rubra selection that I’d made from back home in Alabama that I (and another mulberry affectionado in NJ) could never get to persist for more than a year or so on M.alba…several rounds of grafting yielded grafts that just didn’t fare well, and the last time I was back home visiting, I found that the ortet was dead 8>(

As the others have stated there can be issues, and, sadly, there are no hard fast rules that I’m aware of for success. Akiva(Chestnut) stated in his previous post this one is not the easiest mulberry to propagate. I think the only thing to do is keep trying until you succeed.

Is this available anywhere for 2018?

is this elusive mulberry available at any nurseries for 2019?
