I grafted Gerardi to a large white mulberry rootstock a few years back. It grew 6 ft the first season. First year fruit were quite bland… second year nice fruity flavor and some sweetness… year 3… the fruit was excellent… complex fruity flavor both sweet and tart.
I prune mine once a year late winter… to a max height of 8 ft. Over the growing season it may put on 2-3 ft of top growth.
It is a pretty tree, nice and compact, nice foliage.
