I may have cuttings in a month or two. My tree could use some thinning out. It’s a matter of letting the wood mature a bit.
I had 2 cuttings from Jan come in today. Hopefully they’re the same as what you have.
Hoping that Siam Jumbo is truely the same as Austurkey that Marta sells. I think it is, but time will tell. The fruit on mine looks similar to hers in the video, but none fully ripe yet.
If it seems different I may buy a cutting from you @fruitnut
My Siam Jumbo and other cuttings, from Jan, went into pots Tuesday evening. All of them, pretty much, are pushing buds today. A few have broken through the parafilm.
this is my first time trying to root cuttings and I may not be following best practices. We will see how it goes. I hear that patience is a good quality when it comes to some cuttings.
Howdy neighbor,
Well sort of. I live across the world from you, actually in the Texas pineywoods. I used to read the DWN blog and stalk your entries. That greenhouse. I’m not sure how you will sell your cuttings, but I would like to get one or two. Are you planning just an announcement or making a list. Just wanting to be prepared.
Thanks,
Richard
I don’t have a plan yet. My tree is growing so fast that I’m not sure what I’ll do or what I’ll have. I guess bigger caliper cuttings will work. I’m not sure how green they can be.
