@noogy pai li is a very heavy bearer here. I enjoy it. It is onee of the first to ripen here weeks before drippin honey. They are inferior to DH but still have a nice taste. They are the most popular pear in north China.
Pai Li Asian pear is a keeper. The size of a small apple but an elegant looking pear. It tastes very sweet and excellent for fresh eating out of hand. Very popular in some regions of China. The scion was from USDA 6 years ago.

Recently I acquired new scionwood from the USDA ARS GRIN program. There were 4 of these varieties they were out of sciowood for this year but I still listed the description below. Many of these new varieties are so rare there are merely scraps of information available about them. I think many of these will be exceptional!
