I am the Accidental Grower because in the first house I purchased had a couple of apple trees in the back yard, and that got me into grafting apples, and making sweet cider. The second home I purchased had a couple of plum trees and an apricot tree. That got me into grafting and growing stone fruit. I have a number of trees now on my property in the city and grow another few dozen with my brother on a small property just north of the City of Winnipeg. My biggest challenge is our long, cold winters which are hard on all but the hardiest varieties.
