I am a botanist specializing in food plants, based in the very heart of Europe. My work is dedicated especially to Elaeagnus multiflora and Morus species.

For me, gardening and collecting and preserving plants is a way of participating in human history — continuing a collaborative practice that people have carried for thousands of years. Gardening is also political. It is a praxis of solidarity, a way of nourishing the people around us and building relationships through care for the land and for each other.
