In Southern Ohio, I’m sixteen, ordered my first fruit trees and berry bushes this year, really love plants and food, so it seemed like a good idea, hoping to become a regular on this site if all goes well with the plants, and especially if all goes wrong.

Have a Honeysweet pear, Contender and Trugold peach, Captain Crunch nectarine, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, and Gala apples, although the Gala is probably dead. Also got a Patriot and Ka-Bluey blueberry, Lola Martin fig (I have a Chicago Hardy backordered for July) six Heritage raspberries, six Arapaho blackberries, and a Wowza cherry, and as of the day after writing this I will have a KSU Benson pawpaw (I intend to transplant three or four natives during late winter early spring). I’d like to get an Illinois everbearing mulberry and many other varieties of fruit trees. I’d also like to learn how to graft.

I’ll inevitably end up moving out within the next five years after I finish (and start) college, after which anything I’ve grown will be at the mercy of my parents/whoever lives in the home, so I’ve got a bit of a short amount of time in terms of fruit growing, can only hope the residents of the house will take care of everything (If I can even manage to)
