I'm near Pasadena, about 30 miles from the ocean, so I think it's more inland. My focus has been conserving water and energy as well as trying to be self sufficient, while the newest dream is to have fresh fruit from the yard year round. Our small city yard is providing more than 50% of fruits and vegetables we consume. During peak time there is a lot to give away too!
