Hi!
After spending much of my life trying to grow plants in containers wherever I was living, I finally have a nice huge yard to put real fruit trees and a vegetable garden in!
Now I just have to plan it all out!
Located a bit south of Baltimore, so if anyone has advice for what grows well in our lovely zone 7a, but sometimes 7b area that gets way too much rain lately, I’m all ears!
Current Planning list:
Chestnuts (Hybrid American/Chinese for blight resistance)
Apple Trees: Ashmead’s Kernel, Black Oxford, Roxbury Russed (Should cross-pollinate)
Seedless Concord Grape
Italian Honey Fig
Flowering Japanese Plum (Prunus Mume)
Beach Plums (Prunus maritima)
Toka Plum or other Cherry Plum hybrids.
Apricots.
Korean or Russian Tea plants (Camellia Sinensis, cold hardy)
Rosa Rugosa (Rosehip Roses)
Sea Buckthorn
