Badger_gardener
My love if gardening comes from my grandparents, they always maintained a large garden and grew and preserved as much as they could.
When my wife and I moved into our house in 2012 I (we) started our gardening adventure. Luckily the previous owners didn’t plant anything besides a lilac and a maple so it was a pretty blank canvas.
Currently we have 6 - 8x4 garden beds, 100sq ft strawberry bed, a bed summer raspberries, a bed of fall raspberries, and a bed of blackberries.
Fruit trees include:
Apples: goldrush, sweet sixteen, honeycrisp, honeygold, cameo
Euro pears: honeysweet, Blake’s pride, seckel, conference, rescue, suij
Asian pears: Korean giant, hosui, chojuro, yoinashi
Peaches/nects: contender, intrepid, Madison, reliance, hardired
Cherries: surefire pie cherry, lapin’s, Kristin, Romeo and Juliet
Apricots: goldcot, Manchurian apricot
Plums: Mount Royal, superior, toka
Vines and bushes: 4 seedless grapes, 12 honeyberries, 12 gooseberries, 16 currants (red, white, and black).
