I have been in the Nursery industry for 50 years primarily as a Fruit trees specialist in California. I have worked for a number of well known nurseries over the years such as Burchell Nursery, Four Winds Growers and Dave Wilson Nursery. I the early 1990’s i wrote the paper “Backyard Orchard Culture” and have been a proponent of size control of fruit trees using summer pruning. Currently I am evaluating popular and forgotten varieties of fruit using very informal video discussions on my social media platforms under “ed able solutions” On- you tube, facebook and instagram.
