I’m a big proponent of heirloom / heritage and open-pollinated varieties, and tend to pick my plants for ease of growing because I don’t have the time to fight an uphill battle against pests, weather, etc I’m a huge ‘apple nerd’ and will talk for ages about obscure varieties if I have a willing audience.

Currently growing in containers on a south-facing brick-warmed patio on the sunny South Coast of England (zone 10a, chalk downs microclimate).
