fruitkismet

I have a small home orchard in a mountain valley of northern Utah with hot, dry summers and snowy, cold winters (5b/6a; frost free May 15-Oct 15). The fruit grows sweet and mostly pest free here…

…peaches, nectarines, european and asian pears, asian and european plums, pluots/pluerries, apricots, apples, asian/hybrid/american persimmons, paw paws, sour and sweet cherries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

Fun fact: I’m only 20 miles away from Peter Sinks, one of the coldest locations in the lower 48. The record low is -69 F in 1985 and since I’ve lived here -53 F in 2017 (that same day it was -17 F at my house).
