Love my yard, spring is favorite time to see what made it through the winter and will survive our droughts. Retired 20 years ago and fired the gardener right away, and re-landscaped my entire front yard (ditched the grass about 7 years ago) pulled out all the junipers 17 years ago and got busy putting in drought tolerant and assortment of things that appealed to me, mostly perennials. I have a great lemon tree, a 2year old grapefruit tree and my favorite was my Spice Zee (nectarine type) that is currently having problems. I could sit in my yard all day but my favorite time is early morning.
