Four or five yrs ago I started with my first fruit tree, a Belle of Georgia peach tree. Since then I added two more Belle of Georgia peach trees, a Contender peach tree, a Red Haven peach, and an Elberta dwarf peach tree. I also have three apricot trees two Tomlinson and a honey Pearl, and three apple trees, a red delicious, a Honey Crisp, and a Candy Crisp, and I just ordered a Jubilee 4 in 1 apple tree. Last yr I got my fist big crop of peaches from my first Bell of Georgia peach tree, and this yr my Red Delicious apple tree is gonna reward me with its first crop. I’m just a rank beginner, I only know about my trees and what I’ve been doing to care for them, but I know I’m gonna learn a lot from this forum, at this point I have far more questions than answers. It seems growing fruit trees has a big learning curve that one doesn’t learn over night. I’ve had a few adventures so far and a few disappointments but I guess that goes with the territory, but the biggest thing I’ve learned so far is knowledge is the key to successfully growing fruit trees.
