My family and I live in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas.
I garden, grow brambles, fruit trees, and forage “wild” foods.
I try to preserve the harvest as much as time allows; canning, freezing, and drying what we grow so we can enjoy what God has blessed us with all year round.
I am currently growing apples, apricots, sour cherries, peaches, pears (Euro & Asian), persimmons, and plums; Blackberries, choke cherries, currants, elderberries, grapes, hazelnuts, Juneberries, mulberries, raspberries, and rhubarb.
I grow a variety herbs and annual fruits and vegetables in the garden as well.
We raise cattle and have an assortment of horses, cattle dogs, and cats.
