I’ve been exploring permaculture, urban agriculture and all things sustainable since 1998. Have taught classes and PDCs, run my own edible landscape installation and maintenance biz in Seattle, moved to rural Lewis County, worked for Burnt Ridge Nursery for several years and now have my dream job as staff horticulturist and YouTube video host for Raintree Nursery. Being able to talk about plants all day, encourage folks all over the US to be successful in growing perennial food, and record videos of successful growers and detailed profiles of varieties and “best practice” growing techniques - I HAVE THE BEST JOB EVER!!! Plus, I get time to keep growing and developing my own home food forest, orchard, hedgerows, woodlot, wetland…and see how edible plants can be integrated into homesteads, into animal feeding systems. and how many interesting foods and products can come from my land? Life is good!
