I started a small orchard with apples, cherries, pears, apricots, plums, and peaches. The trees are mostly young and not producing yet except for some apples and a few cherries. There is not much history of growing some of these plants here, but my winters are warmer than a couple decades ago and at some point the history may be irrelevant. I’m experimenting with many different rootstocks, because although the winters aren’t extremely cold, they are long and the ground is cooler than traditional fruit regions.

I also have a small unheated greenhouse growing peaches, and I just added apricots also.
