My parents have had fig and Kiefer pear trees since I was a kid and we’ve always made homemade preserves. I have carried on the tradition over the years and since we moved 3 years ago, I’ve had to start over and I’m still in the early stages. There is so much information here, it’s great. I’m nearing retirement in about 3 years, so maybe I’ll gradually develop my interest in gardening from being just a dabbler to something more. This seems to be the place to do it!
