I grow a lot of edibles in a small city lot. For many years I’ve grown fruit varieties that are proven to do well in my Seattle area climate like apples, cherries, pears and plums. I’ve more recently added peaches, nectarines, apricots to this mix.
I also like to grow things that are marginal here – loquat, citrus, figs, feijoa. Most of these will survive but only some will reliably bear fruit every year and I plan to discover the best ones.
