We have a homestead in the northwoods of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, with an acre garden/orchard which pretty much feeds us. Last frost usually mid June, first frost first of Sept. Been gardening about 40 years. Orchard: apples (mostly), plums, pears, cherry plums, sour cherries. Berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, juneberries, honeyberries, gooseberries. Have grafted apples, plums, cherry plums, cherries. I’m also an artist, writer and musician.
