We three figs

From front to back are my three figs: Violette de Bordeaux, Panache, and Janice Seed-Less Kadota – with a patio chair thrown in for scale. The pruning occurred in January and the photo was taken this afternoon. I’ve been busying myself with rubbing out new growth from the bottom of scaffold branches: no downward-dog growth allowed! By late summer the upward “whips” will be 12+ feet high. As the whips grow, all will produce loads of figs. The VdB will have lower figs ripening in early summer and the upper ones in the indian summer. The other two will start ripening mid-summer and continue through Fall. In January I’ll cut them back to their current height.

Do you have a photo of those three plants recently? Interesting to see what they look like now.
