I can attest to that! I have a very old Wolf River that is comprised of three trunks they had twisted together as saplings and each trunk is hollow. The tree produces well every other year and grows like a son of a gun. I would love to know how old it is but can only guess, judging by the diameter of the trunks. This is the tree before I had it professionally pruned. They took off all that top growth, the large right branch, and an awkward lateral branch on the left that the previous owners had attached a clothesline to. Now that itβs a manageable height, I can climb up there and lop off the scions every year.
