What are they? Great color!

Bonjour @mrsg47! They are purple sweet potatoes. This variety is called Becca’s Purple that I bought from Duck Creek Farms. It is very productive and the vines are great to eat as sautéed greens. Besides a couple yellow/orange types I grow this purple one and one other purple type i got from my father-in-law but I haven’t dug those yet. I’ll post a pic when I do. They make a really pretty mashed puree.

They are fantastic. You do not see sweet potatoes or cranberries in the south of France. With Thanksgiving coming up I think those would be beautiful! Good going!!! I have since found where to buy sweet potatoes but we are very short on cranberries unless you go to a huge supermarket in Avignon.
