I enjoy these apples because of how easy they grow here in Kansas
What varieties are they?
They are 39thparallel apples. That is their name. Fameusse , haralson, prarie spy and honeycrisp grow pretty well here also.
@clarkinks how would you describe their taste?
I got my first fruit from 2 of my 4 39th Parallel trees this year. I shined up the front one, the back two have a bit of bloom:
@AndySmith they look like a red delicious seedling perhaps. Would love to hear your tasting opinion when you give them a try.
Beautiful apples and I like how they taste also. I would call them balanced and delicious!
I finally settled on Delcon for my sole Red Delicious family member. If I do not like it I will likely try 39th Parallel. It certainly looks good in all of the photos we see.
It is very hardy here for me.
Delcon fruited for the first time for me this year and I really enjoyed it. Here it is before it was ripe:
Nice. I have read it is a nice annual producer. With decent resistance to blight and scab.
