This plant was very green, healthy and had many blooms on it until last week when I sprayed it with horticultural oil. Approx.2Tbs per Gallon of water sprayed on a day in mid to low 70’s. I have a small bonsai Chinese elm looking about the same. All other trees and plants look fine. Weird.
So is this Blackberry bunch going to die or should I cut off the top?
I was going to put in a larger nursery pot than this.
I’d like to keep it since the BB is very delicious and planted from PA45 seed.
I’ll probably just go ahead and chop it down to the green parts and put in a plastic nursery pot with some improved soil.
If I had to bet I’d say it will live. Black berries are hard to kill. All they need are live roots to come back.
Yeah that’s what I was hoping. I figure I’ll wait a day or two for overcast and rainy weather to chop the top off. There’s always next year.
A month later. I got rid of the fabric pot then actually removed some roots and upgraded the potting mix.
Growing great and full of life.
Rebounded really nice. I’m sure your happy with that.
