Mind my asking, what went wrong?
We are in 8A and we have several young cherry trees, so I was disappointed to read of your cherry troubles.
We had an Utah giant give us 10 cherries first year planted (this year). That one was a thicker trunk tree, when I bought it.
Our little Bing was loaded with cherries this year but we pulled the cherries off due to the tree looking like it was detrimental to its health, to try and grow all those cherries.
The Bing came from Four Winds and has a thin trunk, I still cannot believe how many cherries were on it. But of course, I’d rather get rid of the fruit than lose the tree on first crop.
The Bing was delivered in April 2022 and has been in a pot this whole time.
because of the experience with these two trees, I had high hopes for cherries.
