Is anyone growing actinidia arguta in <6 hours of sun and getting a harvest? I am considering plant some in my yard where they will only receive sun from about 12 to 6 and have read conflicting information on whether they’d be productive.

I grow hardy kiwi in partial shade, probably similar hours to what you’re describing. It fruits but not as heavily as it would in full sun. The vines themselves are vigorous regardless, they don’t seem to care much. Might just take an extra year or two to get going and crop size will be smaller. Worth a try if the spot is otherwise good.
Protect the stems with spiral wrap or some such… Cat’s LOVE the scent? of kiwi and claw/shred the stems, can kill it. Known problem + personal experience…

I got reasonable harvests with six hours of light. More is better but at least you get something.
